This page is designed to guide you through the enrollment process and help you prepare for the year ahead.

  • FORMS & NEXT STEPS

All of the items below will be available in your My Newman Portal. Please note that your checklist will not appear in the portal until July. New checklist items will be added throughout the summer, so please check back regularly.

Once your checklist becomes available, you’ll see a yellow banner at the top of the page that links directly to your checklist(s) and required forms. You will receive notifications as items approach their due dates, as well as reminders if anything becomes past due. Please complete all items at your earliest convenience.

  • Academic Placement

    The items below are part of academic placement for the 2026–2027 school year. Some of these forms have already been emailed to you and should be completed as soon as possible.

    Any remaining items will become available in your My Newman Portal in July. Please complete all items at your earliest convenience.

    • Math and Reading Diagnostic
    • Language Placement

  • Final Transcripts

    Please upload your final transcript/s through your My Newman portal once it becomes available. If your school sends transcripts directly, please have them sent to Newman Admissions.

    • All students entering middle school and grade 9, please upload your recent unofficial transcript from the 2025-26 school year.
    • All students entering grades 10-13, please upload your official, signed and dated final transcript/s  (Not report cards) from your previous school/s. For Multiple transcripts please scan into on file and upload.
  • Get to Know Newman

    We are excited to share a variety of summer opportunities for students, families, and faculty to connect with the Newman community.

    • “Get the Scoop” Ice Cream Events
      Join us for two casual gatherings in Back Bay this summer — the first on July 21 and the second in August. These events are a great opportunity to meet future classmates, teachers, and parents before the school year begins. Stay tuned for additional details from Newman Admissions.
    • Connect with a current Newman family
      Want to hear directly from a current Newman family? We’re happy to help connect you with members of our community who can share their experiences and answer questions about student life, academics, boarding, athletics, and more.   • My Newman Forms

    These forms will become available in your My Newman Portal in July. Please complete all items at your earliest convenience.

  • Summer Reading + More

    • Summer Reading - Assigned reading can be found in the My Newman Portal under the Resources page and should be completed prior to the start of school. An email will be sent out once available.
    • Student Introduction Video (Optional) - To help our faculty get to know new students before the school year begins, we are creating a welcome presentation and invite each student to submit a short introduction video. Upload your video in your My Newman Portal once available or email Bette Imhoff at bimhoff@newmanboston.org.

Boarding Students

  • Additional Forms

    A boarding checklist will be available in your My Newman Portal later this summer. It will include the roommate questionnaire, dorm student arrival form, and boarding student proof of health insurance for the 2026–27 school year.
  • Packing List

    All rooms include the following items:
    - Bedding
    - Desk
    - Chair

    Students may choose to bring the following optional items:
    - Personal bedding
    - Fan
    - Lamp

    Students are not permitted to bring:
    - Open flames of any kind (candles, incense, lighters)
    - Cooking appliances (microwaves, air fryers, hot plates, blenders, etc.)
    - Knives or other weapons
    - Heating blankets or space heaters
    - Televisions
    - Refrigerators
  • Student Move-in

    • Student move-in will take place on Tuesday, September 1st.
    • Some parking spaces in front of the dorms will be saved for unloading your car when you arrive. A dorm parent will be there to welcome you and show you to your room.

International Students

As we prepare for your arrival we need some items from you so we can issue the I-20 form, which enables you to apply for your F-1 visa. There is a form in My Newman to upload these documents. To create your I-20 we need the following:

  • Health Insurance

    International students are required to purchase health insurance. Families may choose their own insurance; we have found International Student Insurance works with hospitals and doctors near the school. (International students are enrolled in TeleHealth with One Medical, which is included in the boarding costs.)

    Please email proof of insurance to Newman admissions at admissions@newmanboston.org.
  • Passport Information

    Please email a copy of your student’s passport photo page to Newman admissions at admissions@newmanboston.org.
  • Tuition

    The tuition fees must be fully paid. You may do so in your tuition and billing portal in My Newman.
New boarding students will receive a detailed welcome packet over the summer that includes everything they need to prepare for life at Newman.
