The Newman School is a hidden gem in the heart of Boston that you have to experience for yourself. We invite you to attend events such as Open Houses, Coffee Talks, and school fairs, where you can connect with teachers, current families, and our admissions team. We look forward to welcoming you to campus and sharing what makes Newman so special.

  • Coffee Talks

Join us for a relaxed conversation over coffee at one of our favorite local spots. Coffee Talks are a wonderful way to connect with current Newman parents, prospective families, faculty, and staff, along with members of our Admissions team. These informal gatherings give you the chance to ask questions, hear firsthand experiences, and get a feel for what makes our community so unique.

For location details and dates, see the calendar below or click here.
  • Middle School Visit Days

Students visiting Newman will get a real sense of our community by attending a couple of classes, meeting teachers, and connecting with current 9th graders during a student panel. It’s a great way to see what makes Newman such an engaging and welcoming place to learn.

    🗓️ November 13 and 14
    ⏰ 8:00–11:00 a.m.
  • School Fairs

Come meet the Newman Admissions Team at a school fair near you. We’ll be traveling both domestically, including visits to areas in and around Boston and New York City, and internationally. Stop by our table to ask questions, learn more about what we offer, and connect with our team.

Check the calendar below to see when we’ll be in your area.
  • Tour and Interview

A tour and interview are required. Please register in Ravenna.
The Candidate Profile must be submitted prior to your tour and interview.

Campus tours for prospective students and parent/guardian are led by a student admissions ambassador. During the 30 minute tour, you will walk through Newman's two historic five-story townhouses, observing classes, and chatting with students and faculty.

Should a student like to tour the dormitory, please let us know in advance. admissions@newmanboston.org

    Student and parent/guardian interviews
take place after the campus tour. The student interview takes about 25 minutes. The parent/guardian interview directly follows and takes about 20-25 minutes. During the parent interview, students will complete a writing sample.

For domestic or international families unable to travel to Newman, please email admissions@newmanboston.org to schedule a virtual tour and interview via Zoom.
  • Virtual Open Houses

While we're excited to be transitioning to an in-person Open House this year, we understand that not all families can attend—especially those who live farther away. To ensure you still get a feel for our community, we’ve recorded past virtual Open Houses for all grades, including Middle School and Upper School.

    You can watch them here.
