  • Living at Newman

Live in the heart of the city, walk to school, and meet friends from all over the world!

Boston is the world's number one education city, and Newman is the only independent school to offer boarding in the city! Students live in Back Bay in two contiguous historic townhouses that have been purposefully converted to dormitories, two blocks from our academic buildings. Students are walking distance to museums, shopping, sports events, theaters, universities, and more. It is a location like no other! Six live-in dorm parents, all of whom teach and/or coach at Newman, ensure the safety and well-being of boarding students.

In 2023-2024 boarding students hail from: China (5), Colombia, Dominica, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Germany, Japan (2), Lebanon, Lithuania, Nigeria, Spain, Ukraine (3), USA (18), and Vietnam (3).
