Summer Reading and Engagement

As we wind down from this unprecedented school year into summer, we want to be intentional about making sure our students are prepared for the start of the school year in the fall. Summer learning loss, also known as “summer slide”  is real and affects all grade levels. The Newman English department has chosen books and assignments that will engage our students, at all school levels during the summer break and give us a platform to build on through discussion and discovery when we return.
