Distance Learning Guidelines

COVID-19 Distance Learning Expectations and Resources

The Newman School is committed to delivering a dynamic educational experience for all students. However, there are rare occasions when external circumstances or world events may hinder our ability to operate the campus or a teacher’s ability to deliver lessons on campus. To address these circumstances, we have developed alternate methods to ensure the continuity of learning and intellectual engagement for our students.

The following distance-learning plan outlines an approach to maintaining instruction and learning using digital and online resources in the event of an extended period of distance learning or campus closure. This document focuses on the distance-learning platforms and approaches teachers will use to ensure continuity of student education should an event cause a disruption to life on campus.
