All students are required to successfully complete a minimum of two years of the same acquired language. The general goals of the department include having students develop the vocabulary and skills to converse comfortably, develop a working knowledge of grammatical concepts, demonstrate the ability to understand, speak, and write clearly and concisely, and develop an appreciation for the culture and literature of the language they are learning
