Add/Drop Policy

Students may add a course anytime during the first week of a semester with the approval of the Dean of Students. Classes may be added during the second week of the semester only with the approval of the student’s academic advisor, the course instructor and the Dean of Students. Due to the intensive nature of our program, students will not be allowed to add courses after the second week of the semester, except in extreme cases and only with the approval of the academic advisor, course instructor, the Dean of Students and the students’ parents.

Students may drop a course anytime throughout the semester with the approval of the academic advisor, the Dean of Students AND with written approval from parents or guardian. If, however, students drop a course anytime after the midterm exam, the grade for that course is recorded as “WF” indicating both a withdrawal and a failing grade which IS calculated into the G.P.A.

Students are reminded that they must maintain a full 2 ½ credit course load each semester. Students who must drop a class after the second week of the start of a semester should confirm with the Dean of Students that they will still have 2 ½ credits as they will be unable to replace the course that semester.
