Global Studies

This course is designed as a one year, two-term study of the world-its history and its people. Emphasis is placed on the past history of the four major world regions outside the United States-Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. Key geography concepts and major world issues will also be studied.

Solid reading and writing skills, along with a willingness to devote considerable time to homework and study are necessary to succeed. Emphasis is placed on critical and evaluative thinking skills, essay writing and interpretations of original documents.

 

 


United States History
United States History is a two semester course which charts the growth and
development of the United States from initial European colonization through the Civil War and Reconstruction period. Solid reading and writing skills, with a willingness to devote a considerable time to homework and study are necessary to succeed. Emphasis is placed on critical and evaluative thinking skills, essay writing and interpretation of original documents.Please click for Course Syllabus
