Course policies and expectations

1. ONLY ENGLISH is spoken and written in class. It is both rude and inappropriate to speak a language foreign to another in my classroom. If you are caught speaking another language to a classmate, you will be required to do 10 push-ups in the class. If you are told more than twice to speak English, you will be administered a detention. If you continually speak in another language despite receiving multiple detentions, it will affect your grade.
2. No food or drinks in class. Only exception is water.
3. Bring your materials with you to class every day. Failure to do so will result in a detention.
4. HOMEWORK MUST BE PASSED IN ON TIME TO RECEIVE CREDIT. If you are absent from school, you are responsible for asking the instructor about make-up work upon your return to school. In the case of an excused absence, assignments are due on the first day back.
5. According to the policy set forth by the Newman School Student Handbook, students will attend after-school tutorials for missed or unsatisfactory assignments.
6. Electronic translators may not be used at any time in class.
