Sentence Structures from Notes
1. Simple Sentences: Independent Clause
Subject and Verb: I am going to school.
2. Compound Sentence:
-- Two or more independent clauses.
-- I am going to school, so I can go to college.
--Two ways to combine Independent Clauses
               1. Coordinating Conjunctions
                     -- for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so -- FANBOYS
               2. Semi-colon ;
3. Complex Sentence:
One independent and one dependent clause.
I like movies because they have a lot of imagination.
--Two types of complex sentences.
-- Independent clause in the beginning and dependent at the
end. or vice versa = or the opposite.
-- If dependent clause is first in a complex you must use
a comma after the that dependent clause.
Because they have a lot of imagination, I like movies.

Sept 8 -- Respond to four questions about IB Learner Profile
   1. What do you need to be a learner? (think characteristics)
   2. Do you agree with the list?
  3. What is the easiest for you to accomplish?
 4. What is the hardest for you to accomplish? 

Sept. 9 --
From the Learner Profile - draw a picture on the characteristic that is easiest for you to do and hardest. What does it look like. Present to class on Monday. Feel free to cut and paste from magazines or the net if, like me,  you can't draw.
